MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE

SAFETY

 

 The Mountains are a wild & sometimes unpredictable environment in which safety must always be the over riding priority. Mountain Adventure reserve the right to alter amend or adapt any planned activity to take into consideration the prevailing weather conditions or the ability of the group.

 

All activities will be supervised by qualified staff at a ratio that is considered sufficient taking into consideration the size age and experience of the group.

 

Route & activity plans will be lodged with home based staff with pre planned alerting cascades in the event of an emergency.

 

All instructors will carry:

Mobile Phone, Whistle map & compass, First Aid Kit, Spare clothing Food & an Emergency Shelter.

 

EQUIPMENT

 

Groups must come prepared for all weather conditions as a minimum they must be equipped with the following:

Sturdy Boots

Waterproof Jacket and Leggings

Hat and Gloves

Rucksack

Flask, Water bottle and Food (unless provided by Mountain Adventure)

Personal First Aid Kit recommended

 

SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT

 

Specialist equipment may be needed for some activities this can either be provided by the individual or by arrangement by Mountain Adventure.

 

ACCOMODATION

 

Accommodation can be arranged for all trips if required.

 

TRAVEL

 

Travel from accommodation to hills can be arranged if required.
